Engine Run

I'm sitting in a training and wondering why it is that the only time I'm motivated to do something is when I'm already doing something else. Does this happen to anyone else? It honestly seems like the only time I am motivated to tackle my monstrous To Do list is when I am in a training or class or engaged in some other activity that I am restricted in. Weirdness all the way around and I'm not entirely sure where to place the blame...

I help run a social skills group for 6 year olds that are on the Autism spectrum. We do something called Engine Run. It's supposed to help them figure out how they should be behaving in any given circumstance.  For example if you are in gym it's appropriate for your engine to run fast but in math class...not so much.

My engine has been running slowly these days that I have struggled to make things work. I am not sure if this is due to stress or to the fact that I have so much going on that I need better time management skills. I would like to try to get things under control and need to try to focus a bit better. I know that I can do it it's just a matter of how.

I keep telling myself that I will get my self together one day, hopefully it will be soon. The process is part if the experience right??
