Today is Valentine's Day...My boyfriend is a chef. He mentioned that we wouldn't be able to celebrate anything special tonight because his friend who owns a restaurant is short staffed. I can appreciate his dedication to his friend and since our relationship is new I figured no biggie we'll do something a different day.
Last night he tells he that he couldn't let the evening go by without doing something for me. So he had reserved a table for me at the restaurant and that he would be cooking me a meal there. "The only catch is that you'll be at the table alone."
I have no problem eating alone in a restaurant. But he says "Wait what's your friend _____________ doing?" This friend is currently recovering from a pretty unexpected, recent and painful breakup. "Why don't you call her and invite her? I'll cook for both of you."
Yes this, is one of the many reasons why I love him! So my home girl and I are off to a fabulous dinner complete with wine and gluten free pasta! :)
